I was so thrilled to finally see Crush the Skull with all my favorite people! It was a wonderful evening. Apparently there was such a demand for the first screening that the festival added a second one on June 17th at 9:30pm. (Tix here: https://tickets.lafilmfest.com/Online/seatSelect.asp)
Every once in a while, two things come together and the world becomes a better place. And those two things are: movies and wine.
I’m excited to announce that the feature, The Week, that I recently associated produced on, will be screening at the opening night of the Sonoma Film Festival on March 25th! I am also excited to pretend that I am on permanent wine tasting vacation on a Wednesday DAY. Road trip! In the words of Romy and Michelle, “Woo! Tucson, here we come!” Note to self: Buy super floppy, inappropriately large sun hat.
Bonus: My very own brother’s band (Trouble in the Wind) will be scoring the film. If you feel like having lots of Americana type emotions, check them out at www.troubleinthewind.com.
For more info on the film (starring Rick Gomez and Joelle Carter) here’s the website: http://www.theweek-themovie.com/
This past weekend I got to star in a short called The Neighbor. It centers around a couple moving into an apartment where creepy things go down. I won’t give anything away, but I will say that I run around with a terrified face 99% of the time. We intend to eventually make a feature version, so this short will serve as a sort of teaser. We had the BEST cast. The wonderful Christopher Backus played my husband. We also had the lovely Elimu Nelson, Manon Mathews, and even an appearance by Nick Riedell (Better known on YouTube as the Riedell Brothers)! It was quite the challenge to turn our one bedroom apartment into a film set. But, we made it happen. The crew was amazing, professional, and positive. We tackled 18 pages in two days. Which is definitely crazy. We were all pretty much the most tired ever. But, I made some good friends, and I think it’s going to look awesome. Check some behind the scenes below!
Last night I attended the opening night of ScreamFest at Grauman’s Chinese Theater to see the film Parlor! The parts I could watch were fun. Let’s just say it has GORE. The after party was amazing at Madame Tussauds and my good friend Nick Riedell and I hung out next to wax figures, because of course we did. Fun/Creepy.
I associate produced on this feature last year, and I am excited to announce it is almost done! Here is the website that is now up and running!
